Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you are adding a Gradebook in SchoolWise, maybe giving detailed feedback to learners or just haven't got around to deciding on a grade for each learner? Either way, you don't have time to complete all the grading information and you need to run. This is where the Save Draft feature comes to the rescue. This feature allows you to save your Gradebook so you can update it later.
Let's see how you can use the Save Draft feature in the Gradebook.
Note: The Save Draft feature is only available when adding an assessment task/activity when using the Add or Import option.
How to use the Save Draft feature when adding a Gradebook
First, make sure you are on the Dashboard and then click on the Add Gradebook button. Select the Add or Import option from the menu to display the selection screen.
Select Task / Activity as the assessment type you want to add. Then click Next to display the Add Gradebook screen.
The only two fields that you need to complete in order to use the Save Draft feature are to give the assessment a Title and also provide a Date of when it happened.
If you don't complete either of these fields you will receive a warning message.
When you need to use the feature, simply scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on the Save Draft button.
You will be redirected back to the Dashboard and your Gradebook will be saved.
Accessing and Editing a Draft Gradebook
Once you have used the Save Draft feature, you will see the Drafts option listed under the Add Gradebook menu. You will see an indicator next to the option showing you the number of draft gradebooks. Simply click on this to display the Saved Assessments screen.
Click on the Edit button next to the assessment you want to update. This will display the Edit Gradebook screen where you can update your grading information. If you have completed all your grading information click the Grade Learners button to finish. You can always use the Save Draft feature again to save any changes.
