The List and Edit Grades screen enables you to view all assessments for your class within any timeframe. You can view grades for an assessment or edit grades for an assessment all from this screen. This is especially useful when you want to edit a Gradebook to add grades for a learner who was absent at the time.
Included in the list of assessments are both continuous and summative assessments that you directly enter into SchoolWise or import from other systems such as your school MIS/SIS system.
Let's look at how to use the List and Edit Grades screen.
How to access the List and Edit Grades Screen
Click the View and Edit button in the Gradebook and then click the List and Edit Grades option from the menu. This is located under the Assessments section.
This displays the List and Edit Grades screen. The list of assessments for the Timeframe you select is shown in the grid. You see the assessment name, date, type of assessment, attendance and average grade.

Filtering data and assessments
The list of assessments displayed on the screen is determined by the Timeframe filters and the Assessment filters.
Timeframe filters
The Timeframe filters allow you to view assessments for a given time period. The default timeframe is This Year. The Timeframe filters are always located under the navigation buttons on the right-hand side of the screen.
The selected Timeframe is indicated by a red underline and bolded text. To change a timeframe simply click on it.
Assessment Filter
The Assessment filter enables you to filter by the type of assessment. The default option is to view all assessment types. You can also search for an assessment by name.
You can filter by assignments, task/activity or schoolwork. You can also filter assessments that you have aligned to learning outcomes from units of learning in the Curriculum Planner.
Printing and Exporting
You can print or export all of the View and Edit screens in the Gradebook. Click on the Print button to view the options. The print to PDF generates a report based on the options you selected on the screen (timeframe, filter and options) and downloads the file to your device.
The export to a file option generates a CSV file (spreadsheet) which you can open with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
